Online Asbestos Awareness Training – Only £23.50 plus VAT

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 (Reg. 10) states that those whom are likely to come into contact with asbestos in their daily work tasks must be trained in asbestos awareness.

Every year thousands of people fall ill and die due to exposure to asbestos containing material and a total ban was introduced in the United Kingdom in 1999. That does not mean that there is no asbestos left, just that no more can be installed. The task now is to ensure that the asbestos which is still in situ is either removed or managed. So for any building built prior to 1999, there is a possibility that asbestos containing materials were used in its construction.

The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 apply to employers, employees, self employed persons and duty holders and covers work with asbestos containing materials. Regulation 10 of CAR states that every employer must ensure that adequate information, instruction and training is given to employees who are liable to be exposed to asbestos during the normal work tasks.
